Employee Perception Surveys SummaryDescriptionNSC offers a series of standardized safety surveys to help you find the specific strengths and weaknesses of your safety program. These surveys collect feedback directly from your employees, providing a leading indicator of safety program improvement. Survey ProcessWe’ll print the survey forms specifically for your company. We recommend the client administer the survey -- group sessions such as safety or employee meetings are good forums. You collect the completed forms, seal them, and return them to the Council for data entry and analysis. Then we’ll issue a comprehensive results report. Benefits of Using Surveys- They’re a more accurate and timely indicator of safety program quality than other safety metrics.
- They automatically create a prioritized list for action planning and improvement.
- They get employees involved in the safety process.
- They set a baseline for measuring future improvement.
- They’re relatively inexpensive, straightforward and non-intrusive compared with other measurement tools.
- Employees trust the National Safety Council as a neutral intermediary.
Focus of Analysis- The analysis focuses on benchmarking company responses to a proprietary database of over 350 survey users.
- Percentile scores on a scale of 0 to 100 are calculated for each survey item based on how the company’s average response compares to all other first-time survey users.
- Scores for each component are sorted from highest to lowest, generating a prioritized list for action planning. (See attached Figures A and B for sample charts).
Results ReportThe report presents information at various levels of detail, with full tabulations included as appendices. It also includes a text section with summary charts and tables. The executive summary and conclusions section each summarize the most important information in a brief format. CostsThe following table represents approximate costs for employee survey projects. We will develop a project description with specific costs for you before the project begins. If more than one location is being surveyed, separate reports by location or separate analysis by location within one report may increase costs. | | Cost | Safety Barometer | OSCAR | BASIS | | Base Cost | (includes data analysis & final report) | $2,900 | $5,500 | $9,900 | | Per Survey | (includes printing of surveys, data analysis & written comments section) | $7 | $11 | $13 | | Comparative analysis by employee subgroup | | $500 | $1,000 | Included | | On-site results report presentation by survey researcher | (plus travel expenses billed as incurred) | $1,500 | $1,500 | $1,500 |
